Experience. When it comes to mobile bicycle repair, we really do "bring it".

Aligning the rear wheel frame drop outs is standard on every tune up.

Company history

Mobile Bicycle Repair.com launched in the spring of 2009. We owned 3 other bicycle shops in the past, and have spent a lot of time being mobile ourselves over the past several years.

We really are customer oriented instead of product oriented and so our goal is to fix your bicycle. Notice the emphasis on "your". We love Wal-Mart bikes, Costco bikes, Mail Order bikes, Amazon bikes, REI bikes, Nashbar bikes, Performance Bikes, Dans Comp bikes, JensonUSA bikes, BikesDirect.com bikes, Other Shops bikes, and even old bikes! Whatever your bike is, we will do our best to fix, service, build, or even help you sell it if you want.

I spent a lot of time riding Recumbents and Trikes too. We fill the lacking void in local Bend bike shops that really only care to focus on the race crowd. We cover all the rest of us. From utility to alternate riding style bikes... I've owned just about every configuration of trike and recumbent over the years, and bring my personal experience and attention to detail with me. Recumbent bicycle repair and service is my favorite, but it doesn't stop there.

A heart condition got me interested in electric bicycles (along with helping me close my physical store), and I found that you don't have to "need" an electric bike to really enjoy one!

We will also help you get more use out of your bike, by installing an electric hub motor kit. Electric Bicycles are really gaining ground, and many people are finding the benefits of using their own bike more, just by adding an electric bicycle conversion kit, to their trusty steed. The price to add a conversion to your bike is less than you think, and will pay for itself in a short time compared to current gas prices!

The e-mail link at the bottom of every page is live, so why not send me a note and say "hi" or ask a question. I would love to hear from you!

Personal history
My first bike repair was a 20" coaster brake that I rode through a flash flood when I was about 12.

When I really took a deep interest in wheel building and truing, was after getting hit by a car while riding my first (first one I bought myself) brand new bicycle at age 15. I was only slightly injured, but my wheels were really bent. The Bike Shop I bought it from, (Bob's Bicycles in Boise, Idaho) taught me how to true wheels as they attempted to fix mine. I learned the basics in a few hours, and went on to studying the “art of wheel building”, and have built many wheels for many people in this and other countries over the past 30 years.

My next vivid memory skips ahead to the sunrise on the top of Mt Fuji in Japan as we rode and hiked our bikes up the 13,000 foot climb to see the spectacular view! Bike touring the white sand coasts of Penang Maylasia... Emergency fork alignment in Singapore...

I've been very mobile indeed. Getting blistering sunburns bicycle touring Brisbane and Sydney Australia. Did some Road Racing in China, Japan, Philippines, USA, Thailand, and Hong Kong, and the story could go on for quite a while if I tried to introduce you to all the wonderful places I've been, and the people I've worked with and met in the bicycle industry and community.

So what does all that experience mean to you? I know how important your bike can be to you, and am not satisfied until you are with your bicycle repair. What is your story? Send me a note!
